My favorite book (besides the Bible)...
Hm...
It's almost impossible to choose. I'm a total bookworm. I like the Harry Potter series, but it's not my favorite anymore (that was a phase)...
I think my favorite series is the Alice series by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor. They're adorable and they have a bit of everything for teens and such...
I just finished a book called Beauty For Ashes, by Dorothy Clark, and it was a good romance...
What My Mother Doesn't Know was a cute one for YA...
So is the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series...
Ugh. I can't hardly pick a favorite.

I'm a big fan of The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. Hardly light reading but engrossing to the last page and her writing's absolutely phenomenal. Also love Victor Hugo's Hunchback of Notre Dame.

My favorite "writer" for the use of the English language is Orwell. Someone else said 1984. Yeah! But, that's not why I chose him. There is no one who uses the English language in a clearer, concise AND more correct form than him. He is the master of it. I keep on my bedside stand and read from time to time when I forget why I'm doing what I'm doing an essay he wrote titled, "Why I Write." I love all of his works from his essays, to his non-fiction, to his novels.

My favorite author, to read over and over again, to find new, hidden meaning and philosophy in his books are Sam Beckett's. Right now, my favorite series are his trilogy of novels Molloy, Malone Dies and The Unnameable.

When Heaven and Earth Changed Places - it's about a Vietnamese girl/young woman in the times of the Vietnam War. Incredibly powerful and a great look at another side.
