Has anyone read the book Cry the Beloved Country?

I have to read this book Cry the beloved Country for english and i dont understand the story line!!!! If you have read it PLEASE tell me whats going on in the book!

What don't you understand about the story line? Couldn't you read reviews or whatever about the book online to get some background? Wasn't there a movie about it that you could watch to also get some background?

I read it a long time ago, but I don't recall that the story line was very confusing. Check out amazon.com. Look it up and they will give you a synopsis of the story.
