I enjoy authors like Armistead Maupin, David Sedaris, Johnathan Carroll, Alice Sebold. Something lighter side with some humor would be preferred.

Try Charlaine Harris's Southern Vampire series. The first novel is "Dead Until Dark." It's a light fun mystery series involving a waitress in Louisiana who becomes involved with a vampire.

If you like fantasy, give King Fortis the Brave or Harry Potter a try. Both great - of the two, King Fortis would probably be the lighter read - definitely the one with more humor.

King Fortis the Brave - a pair of twins are pulled into a magical world where they are caught up in a battle for control of the land. Full of adventure and humor, it's one of the best books I've ever read.

am i able to signify Riviera Maya over Cancun? till you're into partying and going to golf equipment Riviera Maya is lots nicer. it is not too faraway from Cancun and a lot extra tropical and much less overbuilt. we've continually stayed at between the Iberostar hotels. they are spectacular.

I enjoy all of those Authors. Have you ever ried Running with scissors by Augusten Burroughs? It has some dark edges to it so it may not be laugh out loud funny but it reminds me of Sedaris easily.

Lorna Landvik would fit the bill, light, funny....

Just finished a book called Captains Outrageous by Joe Lansdale. There is a nice black humor to the book and it's pretty light (although it does deal with the mexican mafia and corrupt police).
