The hour of the wolf
has now ended. Cocks
crow. The world is built up
again, struggling in darkness.

The child gives in to night-
Mares, while the grown
Man fears his fear.

I must leave this island,
Struggling to be born
from blackness.

Fear the good deep dark
American Night.
Blessed is night.

The flood has subsided
The movie panic & the
chauffered drive
Thru the suburbs.

Wild folks in weird dress
by the side of the highway.

I don't see how the language and universe Tolkien created is more sophisticated than the language and society created by Rowling in the Harry Potters. They just appeal to a different audience.

I checked out Preditors and Editors (which was a little helpful) but I need a publisher interested in short stories. All the ones I keep finding are ony interested in novel-length works or journalism.

Faculties and schools responsible for teaching your courses may be checking to ensure that students have the appropriate prerequisite grades and may withdraw students who do not meet published requirements. It is your responsibility to be aware of and meet course prerequisites. If the faculty responsible for teaching your courses does not remove students who do not meet prerequisites,
students who choose to remain in affected courses "DO SO" at their own risk.

What does DO SO mean above there?

Does it mean that they have to "withdraw" there course at their own risk?

or have to "continue" the course at their own risk?

I love her books! But they are hard to find in my country (across the world, for you) and the shipment costs when buying through Internet are too high, even if they are used. Is she still alive? Where does she live? Which one would you consider as her best book? Thank you!

My favorite author was V.C. Andrews, but now that I've read all the books from her that I liked: Rain, My Sweet Andrina, & the entire Flowers in the Attic series.

Maybe I should just write a book.

I'm looking for ones that aren't too filthy, but are still open to a wide variety of topics, and where the writing has to be of reasonable standard.

Any ideas?
