The hour of the wolf
has now ended. Cocks
crow. The world is built up
again, struggling in darkness.

The child gives in to night-
Mares, while the grown
Man fears his fear.

I must leave this island,
Struggling to be born
from blackness.

Fear the good deep dark
American Night.
Blessed is night.

The flood has subsided
The movie panic & the
chauffered drive
Thru the suburbs.

Wild folks in weird dress
by the side of the highway.

Jamaica

Spot on; it IS by the rock-poet-shaman himself, Jim Morrison! The poem is titled Jamaica. Maybe I should go dig up my copy of Wilderness: The Lost Writings Of Jim Morrison; and see if Jamaica is in there.

Yes, by Jim Morrisson. But did you know what the "hour of the wolf" means? It is the hour between night and dawn when most people die and was the title (English translation) of a movie by Ingmar Bergman (Vargtimmen) in 1968, also a sci fi radio program in 1972. A very popular image!

I don't know, but it sure sounds like something Jim Morrison from the Doors would write.
