The Long Haul
Written By Semper Fi Reborn

I'd rather be home,
But I have to deliver this load.
I can't remember a day,
When I wasn't on the road.
Sure my wife understands,
The kids understand.
That Daddy's a long haul,
Trucking man.
Delivering supplies we need,
That the pulic craves.
My rig and me,
Have to work like slaves.
Seperated from home,
On a stretch of tar,
Or dirt, snow or gravel,
We have to travel,
So far.
To my family most times,
I'm a voice on the phone.
My wife takes care of the business at home.
My world is lonely,
And far less appealing.
But to make ends meet,
I'm 18 wheeling.
I guess I'm doing this,
For all of y'all.
I'm a trucking man or woman,
And I'm on the long haul.

I am writing a story and have the constant problem of using the word I. For instance: I said. I was amused. I opened the door. I rolled down the window. I looked at him.

It seems like the only way to affectively write in first person is to create new ways to write sentences, which also means finding new ways to say what your doing with out using the word I.

All answers appreciated. Internet sites would be helpful too. Anybody answer.

I LOVE to read but lately I can't find anything very good. Some of my favorite authors are
- Natasha Friend
- Sarah Dessen
- Cecily Von Ziegezar
- Ann Brashares

If you can think of any books written by people SIMILAR to these authors... not the same because I read a lot so I already know!

What are the pros and cons (quality, quality of work, expense, etc. ) of having a Koh-I-Noor Rapidograph Technical Pen Set?

I know they are more expensive than disposable pens (like Microns). They were discovered at my work when we were cleaning. I am currently trying to figure out how to use them. Some of my co-workers don't know how to use them and just want to chuck them in liu of the Micron disposable pens.

Ultimately, I need to know if it is more feasible to use disposable pens or these refillable technical pens. We will be using them for fine pen and ink techniques.

Also, if you have any examples of work done with these kind of pens, I would appreciate it if you could show me.

I have a Nikon D50, 28-80 lens, SB-600 flash and a Sony Handicam. I plan on purchasing a wide angle lens before the trip. I may only take my wide angle lens and leave the 28-80 at home. I like the backpack bags, but I will also have a regular backpack. (We are hiking all the way down and camping out). What things should I consider when shopping for a camera bag?

Also should I purchase a Quantaray, Tamron, Sigma or Nikon wide angle lens? I'm not sure if I'll have the money to buy the name brands. What's the quality difference in the Quantaray?

I got a new digital camera for Christmas, and I'm already having a problem with it.... I took the pictures that I liked and saved them into my favorites. Then, I deleted them all (the favorites were saved in the favorite file thingy) When I take out the memory card for the camera and try to transfer the pictures to my computer, the favorites aren't there. How can I get my favorites to save onto the memory card so that I can put them on my computer?

What is the difference between good and evil?
More specifically, suppose we have the following categories a person or action can fall under:

Ruthless Good--Justice with no mercy
Ruthless Evil--Injustice with no mercy
Compassionate Good--justice with mercy
Compassionate Evil--injustice with mercy

Can you provide examples of each? I have a few, listed below and am wondering what others think.

Ruthless Good--"eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth mentality", death penalty without regard for the convicted person's circumstances.

Ruthless Evil--serial killer/rapist, bomber of public places

Compassionate Good: rewards good behavior and punishes bad behavior while taking into consideration the circumstances for the behavior.

Compassionate Evil: rewards bad behavior such as providing welfare support to folks that do not exercise sound judgment, sparing the rod and spoiling the child.

I think most of us are compassionate good/evil. And a few are ruthless good/evil. What do you think?

The Exposed Nest by Robert Frost.
You were forever finding some new play.
So when I saw you down on hands and knees
In the meadow, busy with the new-cut hay,
Trying, I thought, to set it up on end,
I went to show you how to make it stay,
If that was your idea, against the breeze,
And, if you asked me, even help pretend
To make it root again and grow afresh.
But 'twas no make-believe with you today,
Nor was the grass itself your real concern,
Though I found your hand full of wilted fern,
Steel-bright June-grass, and blackening heads of clovers.
'Twas a nest full of young birds on the ground
The cutter-bar had just gone champing over
(Miraculously without tasking flesh)
And left defenseless to the heat and light.
You wanted to restore them to their right
Of something interposed between their sight
And too much world at once--could means be found.
The way the nest-full every time we stirred
Stood up to us as to a mother-bird
Whose coming home has been ...

how can the admissions officer tell if a drawing was not actually drawn by you? and is just photo copied?

i just finished a nice drawing using only a straight edge (theres no indication from the college that i cant use a straight edge) and im afraid they might think its just photo copied... because the lines are perfectly straight...

so is there a way i can show its not plagerized?

There is something inherently wrong with a person's psyche if they have to believe in a god in order to be at peace with their neighbor or in order to be a person of good character.
