I said that
1. Europeans sought to expand Christianity (exploration)
2. Europeans could only claim non Christian lands (conquest)
3. ?

Settlement and Conquest kind of go hand in hand. Well all three of them do. The places that Europeans settled in was partially determined by whether or not that place was Christian.

So what could I say for settlement? -I'm in 8th grade and I've got an essay test tomorrow - THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP =]

Does this ever happen to you? Go you ever go through a stage where what you’re doing may be pretty to look at but you know it lacks real substance?

Here are some of my ‘easy on the eyes’ fluff paintings:

(If you just have to see more details you can click on the images to enlarge them.)

Do you create your best work when you're in some kind of emotional pain? Under stress? Lonely? And does having a happy life equate to painting 'happy' paintings?

I would like to present this question to a Japanese audience but if you're not Japanese, feel free to also express your opinion. It seems to me like the Japanese do not really regard this event with any significant importance. Many Japanese do not even know that this even occurred and if they do they do not really know when it happened. It is incredible to know this.

I was just discussing the recent PKK attacks over the Turkish border with my friend, who, a little uninformed about the issue, argued that the Kurds have historically low number of instances of violence. This claim seems a rather questionable, so I was wondering if someone with expertise in the area could confirm/deny this claim.

Thanks!

How would you describe the time period in America during 1820-1860 especially in regards to slaves? I have not found any important events or people in this time period that in any way relate to slaves. Though I know there is information out there about this time period and slaves. It's just not in my book.
