Can anyone provide me with information as to why Opeckon Baptist Church outside Winchester, VA changed from being a General Baptist Church to a Particular Baptist Church?

Note: the history of the church does not include that information.

when my great-great-great grandparents came to the u.s. there name was changed a bit at ellis island. from heedrick??? to hedrick , although i'm not sure i spelled the 1st. name right. how can i find out the origanl spelling of my last name before they messed it up at ellis island??

I have looked at commercial products, and want it to still wash away with water. Commercial "liquid chalk" products are more robust though. Maybe something similar to football field paint??? i dont know tho.
