Are we supposed to pick one of these options? I don't quite get what the question posed here is (or how it relates to philosophy for that matter...)
For me, I pick best answers based on the rationality and logic behind the answer. I don't just look for who agrees with my opinion or if the answerer seems nice. Niceness is great, but it doesn't mean you know the answer. I always appreciate wit, but if it doesn't lend itself to an answer, there's no point to it. So...I guess for me it would #3.

Add a fifth reason - If you don't choose an answer then there is no meaning in asking a question . By selecting a best question you express your views in a way .

2,3,4 I don't just give a best answer because someone seems nice and sincere. There has to be a better reason than that for me.

3 although if it's too complex, over detailed, and heavy on sources, I may go with the simpler to the point one.

It's very hard to choose, I would say you would apply different ones in different cases..

If I don't have that I choose a best answer based on how sincere and honest they were.

You can choose the best answer because somebody has low points and wants to increase them. (Please pick me!)
