I got one for my mother last year, she reads and buys books a lot. It is time to renew her membership and I was wondering if I should bother. Do you think it is worth it? Do you love your membership card?

why not,im love my membership card,when new book or some offer,that is times you got offer.

I have a B&N membership card and I definitely think it's worth it and love the card. I have renewed it over a few years now.
As long as your mother reads and buys books a lot (as you said), then I'd recommend that you renew the card.
Also, in case your mother didn't know before, she can use her B&N membership card to get discounts in the cafe too on coffee, pastries, etc. The membership card can also be used to get a discount on books on their website: bn.com.

i dont have a membership card but if she goes to barnes and noble alot and reads and buys their books i would say yes it is worth it especially if she used the card alot.

As a former employee of B&NI would have to say it is definitely worth it as long as you spend more than $300 a year on books (then the card has paid for itself, and everything else is just savings). Remember, they allow for everybody in the immediate family to use the card (all you need is a phone number to access the discount, so share it with your family and it has greater advantage.

i don't have a card, but i'm a teacher so i get an automatic discount...if i didn't get that discount, i'd definately buy the card because i buy at least one book a month...if your savings will outweigh the cost of membership, then it is definately worth the cost

Yes, it's worth it. If your mother buys books alot, then it will save her a few dollars each time she uses it. Plus, you can get promotional e-mails from them telling you what new books have come out.
