Do you know anything about them? Possibly trading/manufacturing late 19th century, The piece I have has a Britannia stamp and catalougue number 5 4691. Have tried unsuccessfully to learn very much more about the history of this company. Serious replies only please.

In Japanese songs I have heard this really very pretty instrument playing. It sounds kind of like a violin but very high pitched. You will here it a lot in Oriental restaurants, but I can never find out what it is.
Help?

I was privileged to see the Dalai Lama once a few years back here in Santa Cruz. Now that I'm leaving this space, I want to remember what it has given me. And I remember that His Holiness's theme was Compassion. And he enlarged my definition of it forever.

What's yours?

so i always buy sansha but I hate sansha with a passion, i tried 6 different types of capezio and all of them were ugly and now I want to try grishko, the same brand as my pointe shoes (which I love). does anyone have any good ballet shoes that they could tell me about? particularly people with grishko ballet shoes?

p.s. I don't do leather. only canvas. and dont try to make me try capezio or leather again! It will not work.

The book was about an elephant called Chang (I think) and was about the place where the elephants go to die. I read this book in an English literature class, aged 12, in 1965. The book was very sad.

What does 'answering' mean? Do you really answer a question or is it just your opinion? Are there really any answers?

I remember reading this book in 7th grade as part of a school assignment. The book is about a young lady who is betrothed to the duke of (milan??) but he ignores he and fools around with his mistress. She ends up becoming friends with Leonardo da Vinic while he is painting her portrait. It takes into accoung events that happened in Leonardo's life and tells it with a twist.
I think it was called the wife of________ but I'm not sure.

Please help
