I got up there and forgot my lines. Not just a little spacey. I remembered one line and then had to look at a paper and then said that line and then had to look again. Then I had to sing a 30 sec part of an upbeat musical song and I couldn't remember the material WHAT-SO-EVER! I went totally blank!! I sang one line all shakey and forgot the next line. Then I looked at the words and got that. And couldn't think of anything else. It sounded so bad that I decided to just sing it off the sheet thinking it would be my only saving grace. But of course, then I couldn't remember how it went! So I made up something WAYYYY off and it was HORRIBLY out of tune. When I was done I just said "Thank you." royally humiliated. Took her a sec to even SPEAK and she goes, "Thank you, call backs will be posted tomorrow." I got out of there as fast as I could.
This was my first audtion but I KNEW MY STUFF! I knew it!! That's what makes me so mad. Tips on how I can get back in the game? I want this.

Lincoln had the government take on increased power during the Civil war often to the extent on violating people's rights.
Does the gov. have the right to limit personal freedom and rights in time of war?
(examples of this would be limiting freedom of speech or holding people in jail withouth charging them)
What do you think?

My BETA club is planning a fundraising play, but we need something appropriate (nothing a principal would call innappropriate or a 6th grade boy wouldn't do), somewhat long (30 minutes to 1 1/2 hours), has many speaking parts, and has a good spread of lines and characters. We would like to do a comedy, but not concentrated on potty humor. (I have to say, though... the Fart-Zen play on Free Drama is pretty good :D)

We can't do any musicals, as we have few songbirds in BETA. It would be better if we could find a play that had interchangable parts. It should be appropriate and fun for 11-14 year olds. Nothing dorky, though; a story about kids that just love to do homework isn't going to go well with fellow students.

One more thing: It has to have no royalty or script charges. I have found several sites that offer this; I just have no clue which one to do!

i read this paragraph and i completely don’t understand it! i need u ppl to explain what the paragraph below, means.
Oh cold, cold, rigid, dreadful Death, set up thine altar here, and dress it with such terrors as thou hast at thy command: for this is thy dominion. But of the loved, revered, and honoured head, thou canst not turn one hair to thy dread purposes, or make one feature odious. It is not that the hand is heavy and will fall down when released; it is not that the heart and pulse are still; but that the hand was open, generous, and true; the heart brave, warm, and tender; and the pulse a man's. Strike, Shadow, strike. And see his good deeds springing from the wound, to sow the world with life immortal.
thank u for all ur help!
