Since Einstein used 'e' to represent energy, perhaps an e-merge-ency is simply the act of energy merging.

No Davinci Code, please. Just tell me anything you have read lately that you couldn't put down until you finished it.

I'd appreciate any answers.

In your opinion, do you feel that love and hate are equally important emotions? Should one love everyone and suppress all hate, or acknowledge that they feel hatred and accept it?

mine is:
"These are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will shrink from the service of his country.........Tyranny, like Hell, is not easily conquered."
Thomas Paine; from his series of pamphlets, The Crisis.

Think about this- if the Civil War in the U.S. was won by the confederates, it's very possible that slavery would still be acceptable today. However, that is not the case, and we know better. If the Nazis managed to take over the world, and you and I were born Aryian, we would see no problem with burning minorities who were unlike us. Other things to think about, Prohibition? Was repealing that a good or bad decision? Is who/whatever decides is socially acceptable really something we can trust to set our morals and standards?

Sometimes, I feel like I'm going insane. Online forums and chat rooms are way too impersonal. How does one cope/function with this problem? It makes me want to withdrawal from social interactions even more. Everyone I've encountered has either looked at me funny or is unable to grasp complex concepts. AAAAARRGGGHHH!
