An Eschatological Laundry List, A Partial Register of the 927 (Or was it 928) Eternal Truths. This list of 43 (Yes, it really SHOULD have been 42) truths can be found at the end of the book "If You Meet the Buddha on the Road, Kill Him!" by Sheldon B. Kopp

In the mid 70's I used to frequent a used book store in Santa Barbara that had a poster of the Laundry List displayed. I would always read a few of the "truths" when I was in the store.

Twenty plus years later I realized that I remembered most of the "truth's" from the poster and I would tell people about this list I had seen on a poster way back when.

Then one day my sister sent me this book called "If You Meet the Buddha on the Road, Kill Him!" by Sheldon B. Kopp. And when I got to the end of the book I just could not believe it-There was the list.

It has been thirty years now, but the truth is still the truth. If you do a search on the Internet you can easily find the list.

ALSO: The Dhammapada (I like the Juan Mascaro translation) and the Tao Te Ching

Not a lot of words ... You could read all of this stuff on your lunch break and maybe never be the same.

" Stand For Something ", by John Kasich

It is a good book that I know a few people ( personally ) should read..but everyone should read it, or at least look into it and see if your interests arise. Just a general overview: Everyone Can Identify With this Book!! In one way or another!! It has everything to do with what is going on in America, right now....on all different levels and where we are headed as a nation, and as individuals!!!

Beyond Good and Evil, by Friedrich Nietzsche

I first read this when I was 16 years old....... now I'm 51 and the book continues to grow in my esteem. It helps in understanding this morally immoral world we live in.

The Book of Job (part of the Old Testament). You can read it as if it were a play - a bit like "Waiting for Godot" -- or as a libely debate, 9or as a philosophical word -- or ultimately, as the word of God.

LOVING WHAT IS by Byron Katie.

All my suffering has been about resisting what is. When I allow what the moment holds, that acceptance seems to open me up, and I am present to the present.

We are what exists before any of the stories.
