A little bit of info: I am currently 40 weeks and 1 days. My doctor stripped my membranes 3 days ago. Also at that time I was 60% effaced and 2 centimeters dilated. She had me make an appointment to be induced this coming Wednesday, in case I don't go into labor before then. I should have asked her, but didn't think about it until later. Also my appointment is at the womens clinic (where I have my doctors visits) not the hospital....

The questions:
1. What are the different ways they induce labor?

2. Do they send you home afterwards and make you wait until your contractions are 5 minuets apart?

3. Typically how long after they induce you do you go into active labor/have your baby?

Not everyone's life is crap by any means, but why in general is life such a drab place where things are so harsh and cynical and not at all like you see in what the movies, music, etc want you to see? Is this some sort of a hell-satanic controlled realm or something? I mean all the believers aside, we have absolutely 0 proof that a higher power exists here, none whatsoever, we also have MANY physical limitations and diseases that could develop. We have BILLIONS of other people to put up with, a life full of sham/hardships/keeping up with the joneses, which the marketing/media industries are trying to get through our heads, and work work work,everything being about money, planning for retirement etc.

Life is a whole PLAN, only so you get old and die anyways.

If you're beautiful you MAY get lucky and get a great boyfriend/girlfriend and have a better sex life, otherwise you have sex with prostitutes and porn.

Why must life be so.....I don't even have the word. Disappointing?

Judge Judy just signed a contract guaranteeing she's on the air through 2013. The article says she USED to get $32 million a year and presumes she got the pot sweetened with the new contract. It also says Forbes lists her as showbiz's 13th richest woman.

My question goes to you: Is Judge Judy paid too much?

Me? I say "more power to her." And that goes for athletes, musicians, and celebraties as well. I believe their earnings are directly reflected by what people are willing to spend on unnecessary things, like entertainment. Someone is going to make the money. Owners of football teams, for instance, are going to charge as much as they can for tickets and still fill the stadiums. The players...the ones who are actually getting their bodies pummeled every week....ought to get as much of that money as they can.

I've recently lost 15 pounds in two weeks, though I don't THINK I've changed my eating habits. I also have back pain and a general loss of interest in things. Like, I used to be really into drama and theatre and I was just cast as lead in our play, but I don't even want to read the play and I've become like this in other subjects, too. I'm also really tired and fatigued all the time. AND I've become EXTREMELY paranoid. I feel like everyone's trying to hurt me in some way and that people are constantly watching me and that there are camera's hidden through out my house. So am I depressed or what?

My brain has always restricted me from doing risky things. I have been very risk averse in my life. I avoid sports which I may break something , i dont push myself incase i do harm to myself etc.

my inhibitors have been my controls. but all in all i lead a boring life. i have not challenged myself much. when i do and i break an inhibition i feel out of control and this makes me scared. but i also feel exhilirated too that i did something.

So I had an agreement verbally to pay 700/mo in rent. I said I would contribute towards utilities which the roomate said is about 100/month...

I paid 1400 in advance, after 2 months roomate said that I owe 700/mo for utilites... I said YEAH RIGHT and moved. I've lived on my own for years & have never gone over 100/mo when renting my own apartment!

So after taking off and telling him to keep the deposit he said he is going to charge me 20$/day until I pay him his 1400! So now he decides to make up some random number to charge??? lol. I never signed a contract so... and 20$ a day LOL thats 7200/yr in "late fees"

Well he said unless i give him 1400 + 20/day he will send me to a collection agency and sue me. I never had a contract & had i known he would try n pull some crap & charge 700/mo utilities for a room, i would have never moved in... not my fault he is in default and has over 200k in autoloans he can't afford.....Does he have a leg to stand on? He doesnt have my address or SSN.

My sinuses and allergies always bother me the worst during the winter. I always seem to have a stuffy nose,clogged ears, pressure in my head and sometimes my face, and occasional headaches. I was just wondering which one would be the best to buy for my allergies/sinuses? A humidifier or a dehumidifier? Thank you.

Hi, my temp is very low duirng this cycle. I take my temp first thing in the morning. I thought my temp suppose to go up after ovulation. However this cycle, my temp keep dropping after ovulation. I'm on 6 dpo and my temp has not gone up yet. My blood test show that I have very low progesterone (.08) I wonder if that's one of the reasons? I'm pretty sure I ovulated this month because I used the clearblue monitor and taking my temp every morning and both devices show that I ovulated. I just don't understand why my temp didn't go back up after ovulation???? Also, I have a 40 day cycle and I suppose to have my period in 10 days. However, I've been having brown discharge for 4 days now and no signs of PMS (sore breasts, etc) so does it mean I'm not pregnant for sure this month (too early to test )????
