My hamstring has been hurting me for months now, I can't squat or backpedal without a slight pain. I need to know what to do in this situation. It's probably to late to use the RICE method, so any help will be greatly appreciated. Our football season is over, so I have time. "Westgate Football, New Iberia, Louisiana"

ok so my brother has a 14 yr old terrier dog, she has had diabetes for the last 2 years however she has been ok during this time as they have just about managed to regulate her blood sugar levels. she is now pretty much blind and walks into things a lot and pees on the floor almost daily. last wk she developed an ulcer on her eyeball and has had to have eye drops every 2 hours which means my brother or his gf have to leave work to come home and do this. they dont mind which is fair enough but i just feel the time is right to have their dog put down. the vet suggested removing her eyeball if the ulcer doesnt improve, which it doesnt seem to be but my brother said he wouldnt put the dog through this at her age. i speak to my bro daily and i just feel its time to relieve the dog of her pain and have her put down but he doesnt want to. i know its an awful thing to have to do.. but surely u have to think of the animals pain and suffering 1st? what do u think? any1 had a similar predicament?

I've been using Gallery Glass simulated liquid lead, which is lead free, but it's difficult to use. I am looking for leading strips that are similar to the real thing but do not actually contain lead.

My b/f owns the house & vehicles with me, but it was my credit card that they got a judgment on. We're both on SSDI and I know they can't take our checks, but once the money hits the bank, I know they can take my account. I'm wondering if it's safe to put my money in his account. Anyone with any experience in this matter? I appreciate your comments.

A woman stands on a platform (with a frictionless pivot), which is rotating with an angular speed of 5.20 rad/s. Her arms are outstretched, and the rotational inertia of the platform+woman system is 5.4 kg·m2. She then pulls her arms in, so that now the system's rotational inertia is 4.20 kg·m2.

What will be her new angular speed when she pulls her arms in?

I'm not sure how to approach this problem, please help!

For those who have already applied and attended college, or currently in college, why does colleges look for In-state Residency? I applied to Auburn University and its in Alabama. The state I live in is in North Carolina.

How do you get yourself off the wait-list? And how do colleges just pick random applications?

A clerk moves a box of cans down an aisle by pulling on a strap attached to the box. The clerk pulls with a force of 184.0 N at an angle of 30° with the horizontal. The box has a mass of 31 kg, and the coefficient of kinetic friction between the box and the floor is 0.45. Find the acceleration of the box.

AND

A 3.10 kg block is pushed along the ceiling with an constant applied force of F = 86.5 N that acts at an angle = 52° with the horizontal, as in the figure below. The block accelerates to the right at 6.02 m/s2. Determine the coefficient of kinetic friction between the block and the ceiling.

and

A 1.1 kg mass starts from rest and slides down an inclined plane 8.8 10-1 m long in 0.62 s. What net force is acting on the mass along the incline?

Ice skaters use the conservation of angular momentum to produce high-speed spins when they bring their arms close to the rotation axis. Imagine a skater moves her arms inward, cutting the moment of inertia in half and therefore doubling the angular speed. If we consider the rotational kinetic energy, we see that the energy is doubled in this situation. Thus, angular momentum is conserved, but kinetic energy is not. Where does this extra energy come from?

getting put or sent away-that you say when you've had a senior moment? I just read Witch Hazel say "Special Sunday Afternoon Drive". My mom always said (for the last five years anyways) "I guess you'll be getting me a room next to dad's" and my sister's family (who live in Alaska) say "Guess it's time to send you out on the ice floe" a reference to the long ago Eskimo tradition of putting the elderly out to sea. Does your family have such a saying?
