i was standing by the locker by myself, Eric and his friends were near my locker.. his friends were leaving (from around my locker to go to the caff) and he turned around and stood right beside me (my locker was closed and i was waiting for my friend to meet me there) and i was standing there beside him too. his friends were not there and it was pretty obvious that he stood there cause i was there.. so anyways we stood there for a good 5 or 10 minutes not saying ANYTHING!! it was silence.. i turned around and looked at him and he just stood straight and was staring into space.. i was gonna talk to him but all i was thinking was.. well he doesnt look like hes ready for me to talk to him cause hes just staring ahead...
thing i dont get is though, is the fact that he left his friends to stand there beside me and said NOTHING!!... i was waiting for him to say something.. but he didnt.. so my friend came and i left him.. and he was still standing there by himself.. and i turned around and

Evolution is an enabler of atheism. How does this affect a persons world view? If we are merely the products of random, purposeless evolution what do the terms “good” and “evil” mean? Their morality and how they are able to perceive "evil" and "good"? Without a measuring stick (e.g. God's Nature) they have no basis for saying something is "good" or "evil". It is just an opinion, which really has no weight in judging how they act or how they judge the acts of others. And while atheists and evolutionists can certainly lead moral lives, if they were true to their beliefs they would have no reason to, nor would they have any basis to judge the actions of those they determine to have done something “wrong.”
But if there is a God who created us in His image, then we are not only created with a sense of what is right or wrong, but we also have an answer to “Says who?” Good is what comports with God’s nature, and evil is anything that does not.

Atheists and believers alike.. opinions?

I was supposed to start my period on the 21st of november, but i did not get it. i have been trying to have a baby for the last month and a half. i took a pregnancy test, but it showed up negative, and i still think i am pregnant. could i be? please tell me if something like this has happened to you, and what the results were. My in laws have proposed to help my husband & I purchase a home by them paying for it out right & having us pay them back instead of a bank. Mainly so we can save on home owners insurancce etc... They want to buy the house & put it in there name with my husband as a co-owner incase something where to happen to them. It sounds like a great idea but I'm not comfortable with my name not being on the deed as they are not giving us the home but rather buying it & having us pay them back so I feel it's a loan. The house also needs ALOT of work & we'd be paying to fix it up. This is a big investment & I feel that I am not protected in all of this should something happen. the inlaws tell me it's a marital asset but it seems to me that it would be an inheritance & if something where to ever happen I would have no rights. It's already caused friction in our relationship when I bring it up. Need advice!!!! Has anyone done anything like this before? We live in FL.

Please explain much how this hurts and what the pain closely resembles. My friend had her baby, and she barely felt any pain. Why are some women lucky and feel nothing and are in labor for only a couple of hours? But people like my mother, thought I was ripping her insides out when I was born and she was in labor for 29 hours with me?

When you hear that someone has lost someone important in their life, it's common practice to say "I'm sorry." But, then that person is often expected to say "It's okay," or "It's alright," in return..

..When in fact, it NEVER will be okay, or alright.

Because of that, I don't ever say "I'm sorry" when I hear of someone that dies.

But everyone I know, does say that.
