my boyfriend & i have a son that is almost 7 months old. we live together, are together, etc. someone told me that if we are not married then he is obligated to pay support. is this true?

He is obligated to support the child. Absent a court order he is not required to pay support. If you live together why do you need him to cut you a check?

Child Support is a fee decided in court. I assume that if you are living together, he is supplying support for you and the child.

He is paying his support - paying rent, groceries, etc.

he is not obligated to do this--unless you are going to go up and file for it -- but, why would you do that - when he's living with you?
