I was supposed to start my period on the 21st of november, but i did not get it. i have been trying to have a baby for the last month and a half. i took a pregnancy test, but it showed up negative, and i still think i am pregnant. could i be? please tell me if something like this has happened to you, and what the results were. Thank you in advance.

I don't think I've been stressed or anything like that, but who knows. I have an appointment on Wenesday with my ob/gyn so maybe I'll find out then. Is it normal to find out a week or so later?

Thank you Ashley. How long was it with your daughter before you found out? Is there still a good chance of being pregnant? I feel pregnant, but I suppose that is not always reliable. Is there anything else besides a positive pregnancy test that is reliable?
How did women tell(besides a missed period) before they had pregnancy tests? Just wondering if anyone out there knew.

You can wait a few days then test again, but I think if you were pregnant it would have already shown up on a test.
Are you usually very regular when it comes to your period? If not, maybe you are just late because you are anxious/stressed about getting pregnant. If you are usually very regular, you may want to see an OB/GYN - there are other medical conditions that can cause you to be late.

being stressed would not make your period late, only ovulation. once you've ovulated your period will definetely come. and you can always tell that if you are charting. or ovulation tests. soooooooo how do you feel?? what are your symptoms. ive read everywhere that this happens all the time!! so there is still hope. your ob with definetely help you when you see them on wednesday. also different tests measure different levels of hcg. mabye it just hasnt built up enough. every womens levels vary when they become pregnant. i knew before i think i was supposed to know with my daughter. i have been tring and af should on wednesday but i think i am definetely pregnant and i am still haveing negative tests.

Take another test. They are usually fairly accurate. My period came a week late when I was trying to conceive.
