I got an email from a lawyer stating that he had a client that died and left a bank acount with a whole bunch of money in it. He needs to contact the next of kin before they seize the account, but he has had no luck in doing so. It just so happens that I have the same last name. He wants to set me up with all the appropriate documents, and then present me as the next of kin, splitting the money. I know this is BS, but I don't get how the scam works. Has anyone gotten this one before? It's in Malaysia where all this is supposed to go down. Mwa ha ha.

i mean, did god place an already fertalized egg in mary's womb? or did he deposit his seeds somewhere inside of her, letting nature take it's course? or did he just point his finger at her and "poof" she was pregnant?

I recently sold my townhouse and used the proceeds to purchase a new home. Two weeks after closing, I was contacted by my settlement agent who indicated that there was a $1000 error in the closing documents (They apparently applied a $1k reduction in realtor's commission twice). They're demanding payment of the $1000 and withholding my realtor's commission until I make payment (which means that I'm receiving pressure from him also).
Am I responsible for their mistake at closing (two weeks after settlement seems a bit late)? Is there anything to protect me from them coming back and telling me that something else was incorrect on the HUD-1?

I have been working in HR for 10 years and have received a B.S. in Bus. Admin w/ a minor in HR. I am now one credit away from earning an MBA and was told that receiving an bachelor's degree and an MBA in bus. admin would be foolish. Would it be foolish of me to obtain a degree in the same field.
