In Example 10.5 (Section 10.3) we found that for a hollow cylindrical shell rolling without slipping on a horizontal surface, half of the total kinetic energy is translational and half is rotational. What fraction of the total kinetic energy is rotational for the following objects rolling without slipping on a horizontal surface?
(a) A uniform solid cylinder.

(b) A uniform sphere.

(c) A thin-walled hollow sphere.

(d) A hollow, cylinder of outer radius R and inner radius R/2.

*I thought I was looking right at the chart the question was talking about but I still am getting wrong answers!!!

I've noticed with children .. the boys tend to resemble the moms and the girls tend to resemble the dads? is this usually the case? [I've noticed it with my friends children]

[my son is only 4 months old, and it's hard to tell which parent he resembles more because my husband and I both have blonde hair and blue eyes ...]

I'm just wondering, what sex is your baby/child?
And does it look more like Mommy or Daddy?

I have an Alienware aurora thingie, and it has Vista. Sites say you can install the sims 2 with vista fine. My graphics/video card supports the sims 2, also. I cant get a game "patch" because I cant even get past the 2nd disk!

Anyway, I tried that Direct-x thing, did nothing, tried downloading it to the disk drive, just came up with "D:/ error " after I put in the 2nd disk, and every time I try [4th time now] it says [once to the second disk] "Can't transport media from disk! retry or cancel installation" and if I push "retry," it loads 3 more percents, then stops, and it comes up again, I push retry, loads 3 more percents, and continues.

what should I do? :(

My girlfriends parents asked us to attend a church dinner that they were also invited to go to, they don't attend the church they just didn't want to go alone. Having Christian beliefs myself I agreed, my girlfriend agreed and the dinner is tonight.

I used to attend this church, before I was out... in fact I was dating a guy who was VERY good friends with someone who worked for the church.

I am sure I have nothing to worry about as it's been over a year, but I can't help but feel very nervous and scared about going back with my girlfriend. What do you think? Do you think I have any reason to be nervous?

my question is why does this happen? i have a female that i work with and the situation is like this, for 2 or 3 days in a row she will come by speak, smile and some mild conversation and then for a week we will not speak and then the cycle repeats itself, it just seems odd that one day we will be buddy-buddy and then the next total strangers why does this happen-note i do not begin the conversations when we have them she does, but why does this happen?
