Well, in the beginning my first son looked like me, but now that he's older (9) he actually looks like a combo of my husband and his brother. My daughter has looked like my husband from the day she was born. She's now 6. And the baby looks like the spitting image of me, but he's only 9 months so that may change. Both of my boys have blue eyes like me and my daughter has brown eyes like her daddy.

In my family...I look like the parent you see me with! Meaning that people who see me with my Mom see similarities there and people who see me with my Dad see them there. I am really a mix between them (the people who know both parents are split about 50-50, some say Mom, some say Dad). Now I have two little brothers...and one looks like the clone of my Mom and one looks like the clone of my Dad. So, I just think it the way the genes fall. I have met families where what you mention is completely the case. The people I nanny for (I watch a 17 month old everyday), the daughter is more often mistaken for mine because she looks nothing like her parents (it is a coloring thing...and she has lots of my habits and expressions). I love looking at stuff like that though, so interesting. It makes you wonder how it happens that a child just so closely resembles one and seem to get very little of the other.

Both my boys are clones of their father - the second even more than the first. Friends are laying bets on whether the next boy (due in 4 wks) will be a daddy-clone.
My friend's two boys...one looks like Dad, the other looks like Mom...
In my family, I look just like my mom, my sister looks exactly like my dad, and our brother looks more like dad, but it's a bit of a toss-up.

It varies. Some people say my son looks like my husband and some people say he looks like me. However, some features are quite obvious, so there's no arguments about that. My son has chubby cheeks with a round face and a small mouth , which looks like me. He has a big head with a small body, which looks like my husband. He also has big round eyes which everyone agrees it's from my husband. When you combine all these features together, we get mixed opinions. As for personality, it's 50% me and 50% my husband.

I have a 3 month old boy and he looks like his Grandpa, it's freaky LOL. Although his mannerisms and a few features are starting to look more like my husband and leave no doubt that he is his father's son.

My daughter has my husbands hair and eye color, but alot of my facial features. She's a good mix of both. I can't wait to see what our unborn son will look like.

My Husband's son looks EXACTLY like him. We had a baby girl this year and we can't quite tell yet who she looks like. Seems to be a mixture of both of us!
