...That idea is not altogether accurate, especially when one reads the first few lines of the Mayflower Compact, which says:
..."In the name of God, Amen. We, whose names are underwritten, the Loyal Subjects of our dread Sovereign Lord, King James, by the Grace of God, of England, France and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, e&. Having undertaken for the Glory of God, and Advancement of the Christian Faith and the Honour of our King and Country, a voyage to plant the first colony in the northern parts of Virginia...... "
...Not politically correct I know, but this is history.
...Any thoughts?

Judge booted for flipping coin to decide By LARRY O'DELL,
A judge who ordered a woman to drop her pants and decided a custody dispute by flipping a coin was removed from the bench by the Virginia Supreme Court on Friday. The decision against Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court Judge James Michael Shull of Gate City was unanimous.

According to the court, Shull admitted tossing a coin to determine which parent would have visitation with a child on Christmas. Shull said he was trying to encourage the parents to decide the issue themselves but later acknowledged that he was wrong.

The pants-dropping incidents, the court said, "were even more egregious."

All my two year old wants to do is watch Sesame Street and Backyardigans lately. We TiVo every episode, so she knows that she can watch it whenever. I try to tell her that the characters are sleeping, then she throws a fuss and usually tosses a toy or a book at me. What can I do to end this behavior and get her interested in her toys or books again?

I have two kids by the same man. I have always had them other than an occasional weekend when I would let their dad have them. He has never paid child support although he was told to by the state. No job, does drugs, no house ect. But I have never filed for legal custody as he only calls about every six months so I wasn't worried. Well, the other day he showed up at my sons school and told him only a few more days and they would be together for good. So I am wondering what rights do I/He have? In Missouri by the way!!

If you believe in this, then how do you interpret the following scripture?

Hebrews 10:26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. 28Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God under foot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? 30For we know him who said, "It is mine to avenge; I will repay,"[a] and again, "The Lord will judge his people."

If players used drugs, that are on the banned substance list now, throughout the 1990's but stopped when the MLB drug policy was implemented in the early 2000's, are they guilty of any violations in the eyes of MLB and should MLB take any action against them now?

Hi! I have always wanted to become a vegetarian, I am a huge animal lover. I never made the change, and I want to know that I am starting a family of my own. I would love to set a god example for my children. I always let life get in the way when it was just me and my husband. We ate whatever is quick and easy (and my husband loves to grill), so that usually meant meat based meals, or junk food. Does anyone know of some good Vegetarian cookbooks? (easy to cook, I am a very unexperienced cook). And maybe some Vegetarian grill recipes? What is a good way for me to incorporation this adjustment into the life of a couple with poor eating habits?

If all else fails, think of your childhood pet as the first name, and the street you grew up on as your last name.

My name would be "Nino Navarre".

meatless options, such as Morningstar, Boca, ect, that may be owned by larger corporations that distribute meat products?

My example is if you found out that a meatless option you wer eating was produced by a company that went against you ethics, ie: Tyson, would you still eat the veggie burgers?

I saw something in someone's answer today that made me contemplate this.

Thanks!
