Plans are not finalized, but my wedding will probably be located at a relative's cabin which will be a minimum drive of 1 1/2 hours for some guests, but a 4 hr drive for more than half of the guests. (by the way, small wedding, about 50 guests).

Do I need to send save the date cards in this situation?

My best friend and her husband have a loving and mutually respectful relationship. This is why I was shocked to learn that she had advised a mutual friend who had become physically violent with her husband during an intense argument (mutually aggressive) that this was normal and that most--if not all-- couples go through it once...it is a problem if it becomes a pattern, but that it is bound to happen to most couples once in their mariage. This has NOT been my experience in my own marriage but she cited the names of other couples who had become violent with each other at least once during an argument (shoving, slapping, spitting).... and I am still in disbelief.

I am interested to hear from couples to whom this has happened but have NOT made it a pattern....

My dad died, my car got stripped, I had a miscarriage,

Yesterday, responding to my question about "Where was God when 6 millions Jews were being killed in concentration camps", all Jews answered that the victims of the Holocaust had been warned by God (warned about what? Weren't they being victims of racism and discrimination around the world, especially Germany?) and therefore they asked for it.
No wonder the Palestinians are being treated with cruelty by a new generation of Jews with no respect for human life, not even respect for the 6 millions Jews killed in WWII.
That is a monstrosity.
