I am 11 and this is not a typical divorce. My parents REALLY do not get along. They cannot be in the same room with each other for more than 10 mins.I have not been to my dad house in about a year. he is not able to maintain cleanlyness in his home so child sevices wil not let me go to his house. Child sevices interviews me once and a while. I am a total daddys girl, but my parents really put me on the spot when I have to go to court with them. in 3rd and 4th grade I missed several days of school do to court and stuff. i have told my mom about this and she does feel bad but there is nothing she can do. please give advice! And yes, I do see a phycologist and my school guidance counselor.

An Amish boy and his father were visiting a mall. They were amazed by almost everything they saw, but especially by two shiny, silver walls that could move apart and back together again. The boy asked his father, "What is this, Father?" The father [never having seen an elevator] responded "Son, I have never seen anything like this in my life, I don't know what it is."

While the boy and his father were watching wide-eyed, an old lady in a wheel chair rolled up to the moving walls and pressed a button. The walls opened and the lady rolled between them into a small room. The walls closed and the boy and his father watched small circles of lights with numbers above the walls light up. They continued to watch the circles light up in the reverse direction.

The walls opened up again and a beautiful 24-year-old woman stepped out. The father said to his son, "Go get your mother."

I'm a senior in high school and I'm going to be an early graduate (feb '08) but won't get my diploma until june '08. My high school GPA for grades 10-12 is somewhere between 3.6 and 3.7. On my y S.A.T. Reasoning test, I received 1190 and I still have to take my subject tests for the UC's. I have a few extra curricular activities and my essays/personal statements are pretty good. Also, I have recommendation letters to almost every University except the Cal States. I have already applied to Cal State L.A. and Cal State Northridge along with University of La Verne, Loyola Marymount, Woodbury, and Pepperdine. I have not yet submitted my UC applications which I plan to do in a day or two. Which of these universities will I most likely get into and which of these would be a challenge? I know UC's are really hard to get into but what about the rest of the ones I also applied to? Thanks in advance...

My husband moved out last weekend while we try to see if we should divorce or can reconcile. My family has been my life for 17 years. I need some ideas on how to spend my time alone while I adjust to being alone.
I have one son 23 (lives on his own) and son 12 (lives with me but will have lots of visitation with his dad).
A few things I know is organizing the house- joining a health club. I am just trying to stay busy in my alone times, so I don't feel sad or feel like I want to call him. I want to give him his space to "see if he misses me".
Thanks in advance guys!
