Loved the movie. He brought good writers back to life to stand before the boys and he inspired them to want more. If only every school had five or ten of these kind of teachers. In real life, the school board or director really do stop great teachers from gaining respect from their students with the same 'ol line of needing to stick to tradition or policy or standard operating procedures. My opinion.

"Carpe diem. Seize the day, boys. Make your lives extraordinary."

First of all, I like just about every thing that Robin Williams has ever done. Dead Poets Society was one of the very best for any number of reasons. The part about the son committing suicide and his parents not really having a clue was heartbreaking.

I loved it. When I first saw it in a movie theater, I was not quite sure about the meaning. As I grew older, I have learned to appreciate the film and the message. When heads of education dismiss an instructor for teaching based on their own biased opinions, we begin to destroy the educational system.

I loved it when they stood on the desk and said "Captain, my Captain." It was great and inspiring.

Yes, very much. It was an excellent movie. I like Robin Williams so much more in a serious role than when he is being silly. I hate his stand up routines.

Gotta agree, first flick I saw with Robin Williams playing a serious role -- awesome.

I didn't see it, but my husband watches more movies than I do and he saw it. He said he liked the movie, it showed a more serious side to Robin Williams.
