as a biologist it's interesting to read some of these answers. many people assume to know biology yet dismiss evolution.
this is entirely impossible.
evolution permeates so many branches of science. of the top scientists in the US only a small fraction believe in God to begin with(~5.5% of biologists, 7% physicists).

There's no greater argument for the Creator than the intelligently designed DNA code. Did you know that just one amoeba contains enough information in the DNA to fill an entire set of Encyclopedia Britannica? And this is just a single celled organism...
If even one of those sequences were out of whack, severe problems would result & the amoeba would not live.
The code of DNA is like a written language with the different amino acids spelling out instructions to the cell. It is foolishness to think that this complex code evolved when none of the parts make sense alone.
A book cannot evolve into a more complex book unless an intelligent editor or author addes additional word sequences to the pages...

i replaced into fortunate to bigger via reasonable Lutherans... when I examine the Bible two times at an prolonged time 8 and 12, I challenged my mom to respond to my questions. while she could no longer, I challenged the Sunday college instructor, then the pastor. different than for "it extremely is a secret", none of my questions have been spoke back. while i replaced into 15 i finished going to church (to everyones alleviation) and began going to the library extremely and while i replaced into sixteen I declared to my mom that i replaced into on a seek for reason to have self belief. sure... i prefer to have self belief. i prefer to have some clue what the bigger difficulty is, existence-death, the universe and all... yet there are no longer any elementary solutions. i've got studied damn close to each faith and cult that has ever existed, inclusive of ceremonial magic, the Kabbalah and the Occult. there is quite little certainty in any of it... however the gemstones you come across could be of fee. do in basic terms no longer swallow all the crap with the tiny treasures. As I make my way with the aid of existence, I make my own course through fact when I persist with others I certainly tend to step of their piles. do no longer purchase into the thought that anybody is handicapped. i will do something with no longer something.

Most people don't believe in evolution because they believe that evolution means humans were once monkeys which is absolute nonsense. That is not evolution, not even close to the theory of evolution. If you really understood what evolution is, you will realize that it in noway contradicts the belief that we were created from God.

I believe in free inquiry. The truth can stand on its own. Thomas Jefferson said that only lies need to be supported by the government. I don't believe in evolution but the answer is not to ban it or force it down students throats, so to speak, but to just leave it be and welcome those who want to study it.

Actually, the study of DNA, cell formation, etc., shows the existence of Intelligent Design. I would love it if all of my kids pursued biology.

Nope! I'm not a parent but I am a thourough believer in Creationism and I am going to major in bio-medical engineering and my parents haven't dissuaded me at all! My sister is also a biology major, and my brother's in med-school! It is very possible to learn about a "theory" but not believe in it. That's the way I see it!

Fabulous question mate. I think that teaching creationism to a child is basically child abuse. You are indoctrinating your child into something that they have no prior knowledge or understanding of. It is brainwashing and should be discouraged, if not made illegal.

Of course not. Creation does not conflict in any way with biology. God is amazingly creative!
