I'm annoyed by The Beatles' Drive My Car, I don't know why, but I am. And I love the Beatles too, and Rubber Soul is one of my favorite Beatles albums.

You?

I want to do a program that checks the answer of a question. For example:

string ans1;

cout << "How do you spell dog?\n";
getline(cin, ans1);

if(ans1==dog)
{
cout << "correct\n";
}

when I do this program (with other required parts included)
I get errors saying that I need to identify dog, but if I do it skips over the if statement and ends the program

sunset's jealousy

Hey my dear friend Celtic moon,
I want to see you once again.
There's no way it's not too soon,
My love for you is not a sin.

I want to hear your perfect voice,
Silent night, your cold gray light.
I have forever made my choice,
To live my life with you at night.

I'm standing with you face to face,
Seabreeze blowing through your hair.
Your breasts covered with white lace,
I watch the sunset's silent glare.

I have very unique spiritual/religious views, and plan to write a book. What do you think about the title? Would it catch your eye?

Atheists and other doubters are welcome to comment, but your negative responses have no effect upon me other than to encourage me to continue on my path. Unlike most people, I know what I believe and am very confident and comfortable with my faith. I find truth within myself and through my experiences...not in a book or sermon. Attack me or learn from me, the former will mire you deeper in your ignorance and the latter will benefit you.

Why did they ignore data that they didn't like?

READ THIS:

A new scientific study concludes that changes in the Sun's output cannot be causing modern-day climate change.

It shows that for the last 20 years, the Sun's output has declined, yet temperatures on Earth have risen.

Dr Lockwood initiated the study partially in response to the TV documentary The Great Global Warming Swindle, broadcast on Britain's Channel Four earlier this year, which featured the cosmic ray hypothesis.

"All the graphs they showed stopped in about 1980, and I knew why, because things diverged after that," he told the BBC News website.

"You can't just ignore bits of data that you don't like," he said.

hi, I recently visited my local animal shelter to adopt a dog. Well first of all, I was going to buy one from those website ones but some of them included shipping the dogs and I really didn't want the dog i buy to be shipped. So I read and asked around on how and where to purchase dogs and most of the answers lead up to animal shelters. Many people, especially on yahoo answers, stated that the dogs there are great. So I go my some animal shelters and quite honestly, I was quite scared at first. I expected it to be a little frightening but I guess after reading some comments on yahoo answers, I was less frightened.. until i went to the shelters.

I dont know if it was just me or something but, those dogs looked as him they wanted to kill someone. I have raised a dog since it was a baby in the past and she was really really really nice, but unfortunately I had to move so I had to give the dog away.
so yea, i just wanted to know whether or not i should really go to a shelter.

It amazes me how careless Americans can be with their own people. Health care for most Americans even those with some health care coverage sucks. And yet, we allow Conservative-created fear about "communism" and "socialism" and "long lines"cloud the fact millions of Americans don't have health coverage. Of course we have shorter wait times than other countries---45 million people aren't in line. You know where they are---in the emergency room b/c they could afford checkups and meds. We can't even get coverage for all kids!!!!

Three guys die and end up at the gates of heaven, talking to St. Peter.
"So," Peter asks the first guy, "how many times did you cheat on your wife?"

"None. I had a perfect marriage."

"Great," says Peter. "You get to cruise around heaven in a Mercedes. And you, how many times did you cheat on your wife?"

"Only twice, I think," says the second guy.

"Okay. You get to cruise around heaven in a Cadillac. And you, how many times did you cheat on your wife?"

"12 times. Maybe 13," says the third guy.

"Okay," says Peter. "You get a rusty Ford."

Later that day, the guy in the Cadillac sees the guy in the Mercedes crying.

"What's wrong?"

"I just saw my wife."

"So?"

"She was riding a skateboard."

Pyroclastic flow from violent volcanic eruptions is known to be able to traverse vast distances across the ocean. My theory is that this is achieved via an effect similar to pouring liquid nitrogen onto living tissue except in reverse... upon contact the extreme heat levels of the pyroclastic flow vapourise the surface water into super heated steam creating a cushion along which the flow can ride. Eventually this cools with progresion along the ocean surface leading to the termination point of the flow. At this point the effect is insufficient to support the flow and the volcanic cloud collapses into the ocean.

What do you volcano experts out there think? Fact or myth? If not true please suggest a more educated theory.
