Leftists look at "sweatshops" in other countries and decry capitalism - but without capitalism those people would still be peasants living naked in the woods or in thatch roof houses living on yams and grubs. You gotta start somewhere and they have no skills - they're slowly getting some. $120 sneakers versus $2/day is a stark comparison but it used to be $1/day and before that was subsistence farming equating to a dime a day.

Leftists compare the poor here with the wealthy here but most of the poor here are immigrants or 1st generation citizens - and are richer than they were in their home countries - - - ironically, where the economy is less free.... And economic mobility in absolute terms continues to increase here - Sawhill points out that you might not catch up to the couple that is now living the life you want to live, but your chances of getting to the point where you're living that life within the next decade are improving dramatically.

Surely the economy is the sum of all the money changing hands in the country and the activity of all the companies.
I don't understand how the economy can be growing at a fw percentage points but the stock market in general grows at a faster rate than this.

If LP (Libertarian Party) bases it's philosophy of that of Ayn Rand- i.e.,consequentialism- then this "party" should not exist in the first place (party as a group) Rand "condemned libertarianism as beig a greater threat to freedom and capitalism than both liberalism and conservativism"

and :"They are not defenders of capitlaism, they are a group of publicity seekers"

and so on.

Why?

This was an answer I gave to another questioner about what I'd write about God if I could. This is a true story. I know nothing of cars. I only know what the mechanic told me, and the look on his face. The engine belt had cracked. My car should not have gone any further. But it went for 20 miles and stopped right in front of the hospital door where I needed to be. What do you think of it?

"I'd write about my son and things that happened when he was hospitalized at 3 weeks of age for a week. He was born with Infantile Spasms. 80% of children born with this are mentally disabled by the time they are 1, 10% have problems, and the last 10% completely outgrow it. That last 10% had a problem that caused it and took medication to cure it. My son had no cause. There was no reason after all of the testing they did on him for him to have had this. Just a freak occurence. But he completely outgrew it and is 1 1/2 now.

I am being inspired watching "The Biggest Looser" in t.v. I would like to stop eating at night- does anyone have any suggestions on how to stop? How do you avoid temptation? What foods should I be eating at dinner that would curve the night cravings? I get a bit hungry around 8 pm or so. I go to bed between 10:30 and 11:00 at night.

so I had this dream about the moon. It was huge, red, and super detailed. I saw this moon right in front of me when I was standing outside of my balcony with my boyfriend. Does anyone know what this could mean?

I just got feedback that To see the moon in your your dream, represents something hidden, mystery and the feminine aspect of your self. In particular, a full moon signifies completion, whereas a new moon symbolizes new beginnings.

To dream that the moon in odd in any way, signifies infidelity of your lover and disappointments in business.

I had this gut feeling that he was cheating but havn't caught him or confirmed it.

Should i take this dream into consideration and really think that this could be confirmation?? Im paranoid over here. Someone give me feedback please....

Ok, so my daughter had tubes put in her ears in March. She is 2 1/2. The first couple of times she had a bath I told her to be careful not to get the water in her ears. Now she freaks out at one little drop of water getting in her ears. Bathtime is a fight when it comes to washing her hair. I haven't found an easy way to rinse where she doesn't scream like it's hurting here. I've even tried to rinse with just a wash rag and she has a cow with that. When I was a kid I had this shower ring that went on my head and it probably stuck out about an inch or two all the way around my head and not just my forehead. This helped the water stay out of not only my eyes, but my ears also. I can't seem to find these any more at all. All I can find is visors to keep the water out of the eyes. Does anyone know where I can find something?
