I build a spreadsheet every January with a list of whom I'm shopping for next Christmas, then jot down all the "hints" they dropped at the last Christmas gathering. Then I shop for bargains and online throughout the year.
Yes, I know I'm a freak.
But I'm about 70% done with my shopping, and still have several gifts to make; the goal is not to have a giant credit card bill to swallow.
I'm never "ready" for anything else about the holidays. Too many family gatherings and business functions. . . I'm exhausted just thinking about it!
Is it really getting to be that close to the holidays already????

It's a little early, isn't it?
I arrange flowers for a geriatric center, and I've been putting in little picks (signs) that say autumn or fall leaves or things like that. And I'm experimenting on how to scallop the edges of a small pumpkin, slather the inside with non-water-soluable glue, and using it to hold flowers.
The other day I opened a cabinet and found all kinds of thanksgiving stuff, so I pulled it all out.
I haven't done anything with it just yet, but soon. This is the most active Thanksgiving I've had in a while in the sense of celebration. I don't think I'll cook, though.

One can never be ready enough for the holiday! It's just one of those things you can never prepare enough for. For me, jobless holidays are boring!

Oh God, no! As much as I love Thanksgiving and Christmas, I'm not even ready for Halloween yet. It's still warm here.

I am set for alot of people already this year for Birthdays and Christmas. I have Sept. Dad B-day done,Oct. Mom B-day done little sister in Nov. one in Dec. (21st to be exact!) and my grandmother in Dec. which are all easy to buy for. This year will be great since I had a Nephew born in May so it'll be his 1st Christmas and thankfully the mom and dad have it off. :-) I can't wait to buy a ton of My 1st Christmas stuff! Thankfully my family is pretty easy to buy for a DVD or fishing/hunting item the only hard person to buy for is my mom since she never knows what she wants and kids are a synch to buy for! :-)
