For example, if a person says they are afraid of flying, aren't they really saying they are afraid of crashing? Afraid of swimming is really a belief in the power of drowning? Fear of heights is really a belief in falling?

I have read the Maximum Ride series as well as When the Wind Blows and The Lake House. Are there some books out there like these? I don't care what age group but I prefer them to be older than a childrens book :). Young teens, You adult, Adult.... Also, were movies made of any of these - no the Lake House does not have Sandra Bullock in it - or any movies that have the same sort of subject?

Do you feel that they are harmful or helpful? Do you think they are used because they cannot be punished by the same laws as a U.S. soldier would be punished? One of my male best friends Cordell flirts w/me all the time even though he has a girlfriend. Well this morning in the cafeteria at school, he walked right by me and sat down w/ his GF and didn't even notice me! Well him and his GF talked for a couple of minutes and then he held her hand! It made me so so so mad! But at the same time I wanted to cry! He talked to her, held her hand and was right by her side the whole entire time and never even bothered to speak to me!

Well I havent told him how much I really like him and I'll be completely honest, I'm head over heels for him! He has everything about him that I want in a guy but he's taken and it almost kills me to even see his GF! But the way he acted around her this morning gave the impression that they were the absolute perfect couple and they acted like they were meant for each other. I'm very emotional about it and I'm grounded so I can't call my BFF and ask for her advice. Can you plez give me sum advice! I really need help!

What does it mean when I cat comes to you when you are not paying attention and rubs its nose on your hand or toe? Does it mean that it loves you?
Sometimes I will be sitting on the chair at my desk looking at the computer doing homework and my cat Sage will come up quietly and rub his nose on my toe. And then he will look at me and start purring. What does this mean?? (BTW, I love my cat. He is so precious)

I've always worn mine out of habit, but I recently found out that there's a VERY good reason to do so -
If you don't wear one and you're in an accident, your body is thrown up against the front of the car and then whiplashes into the back of your seat. The problem is, as you're moving backward, your internal organs are still moving forward - again causing whiplash that breaks a lot of spines and causes internal organ damage that KILLS you.
Gross, huh?
Was I just living under a rock by not knowing this?
And does knowing this information make a difference in your decision to wear a seat belt or not?
