With the bridge burning of foreign relations over the last years, our political agendas being viewed as misdirected or imposing and a loss of credibility as a peacemaker and genuine good will state... What can the US citizens do to improve our image globally, what can we do as a people to positively impact the lives of the less fortunate both in and outside of our borders? The idiot wrote their account number on the back of the check when they deposited it. I want to know who would try to steal money from me.. Will the bank tell me who it was since they can find out? is there any other way I can find out who this is? I think its someone I know.

Ok, I am a tad tired at the moment, but I have seen this advert on TV a couple of times now. It has a gorilla sat at a drum kit, with Phil Collins 'in the air tonight' playing throughout.The gorilla basically sits there until the drum intro happens, to which it joins in. Am I missing something? What does any of it, if anything, have to do with Cadburys chocolate, or is it supposed to be surreal? MC Beardyman does it better by the way!

There is little correlation between the two. For example, solar irradiance decreased dramatically from about 1980-1987, while the average global temperature increased by over a tenth of a degree. The current level of solar irradiance is roughly what it was 25 years ago, but the average global temperature is about 0.4°C higher.

How can anyone realistically blame the Sun for this warming?

Just in case someone decides to blame sunspots, here is a similar plot showing their lack of correlation to global temps as well:

I am writing a YA novel and I've almost finished with the first draft. I know I still have some editing of my own to do, but at what point to get need a professional editor? I've heard get an agent first and then they will help get an editor set up. I've also heard you have to get an editor before you start sending your book out looking for an agent. I've heard editors are really expensive if you get them on your own (which is scary because I don't have a ton of money to spend on it), as well as you can find editors at fairly reasonable rates. Can somebody clear this up for me?

Our living room carpet is in good shape other than it has a few ripples in it...especially one long one about 3 feet away from the wall. We've kept a rug there so we haven't thought about it much, but now we're preparing to sell our home and can't afford to put in new carpet. Is there a way to repair this successfully?
