They can find out, but they most likely won't tell you.

I also doubt that you will be able to find out this information--at least not from the bank. And probably not from the police either (although I don’t know that for sure).
Report it to the bank and they will investigate and report it to the police. Then the *state files charges* (not you, because an individual person cannot file criminal charges against someone). All you can do is report it--and you should do that.

Report it to the bank and to the police, I'm sure they want to know who it was too -- especially if it's some shady person who works for the bank.

You should immediatly contact you bank and advise that you have had fraud against your account. They will put a freeze on checks and not cash any until the fraud is investigated. You have the right to know who has committed this fraud against you.
They will most likely will not tell you who it is, but depending on your bank they will press charges on your behalf if you wanted.

This happens more often than you realize and we must keep close tabs on our accounts. Unfortunetly for us, when these thefts occur, our accounts need to be closed and reopened with a new acc. #. The banks do not make much effort to catch or even report these incidents to the authorities which is very frustrating in itself!

Report it to the police and let them investigate. I doubt the bank is going to give that information out to you.

Yes, file a police report and follow up with that report.
IF you file criminal charges thier name will appear on the report.

Go to your bank and let them handle it. Tell them what is going on...and when you do find out who it is, don't let that stop you from pressing charges. Good luck

File a police report. When they find out who it is, you will be able to find out.
