Ok, I am a tad tired at the moment, but I have seen this advert on TV a couple of times now. It has a gorilla sat at a drum kit, with Phil Collins 'in the air tonight' playing throughout. The gorilla basically sits there until the drum intro happens, to which it joins in. Am I missing something? What does any of it, if anything, have to do with Cadburys chocolate, or is it supposed to be surreal? MC Beardyman does it better by the way!

No, you missed nothing. If you eat too much Cadbury's chocolate you will turn into a gorilla. Not sure where Phil Collins comes into it...

I've only seen this advert once, after hearing about it loads of times, all I can say is what a letdown!

I assume it's talked about so much because the gorilla suit is probably the best gorilla suit the world has ever seen! lmao

I don't know but I love that commercial!
My pal Avery just started playing the drums and always says he's Phil Channeling when he rocks out extra hard (phil collins used to actually be kinda cool and is a fantastic drummer) and his nickname is Uncle Ape... so it's pretty freakin funny to us.

I agree - this is a cracking idea. =) I study that this is going to hitch a series of 'experience sturdy' commercials, in spite of the actual incontrovertible truth that the gorilla ad is doing a quite sturdy interest on this is own! =) wish this helps, Laura.

How many adverts have this many people talking about them on Answers. The advert stops you dead and you watch it to see what will happen. Then when they have your attention they show the Cadbury logo. Job done. Brilliant!

It has nothing at all to do with a Gorilla, but it's got everyone talking about cadburys, shrewd move from the marketing department I think!!

I think it's supposed to mean that he's savouring the moment then letting go (?) and the slogan for the chocolate is 'A glass and a half full of goodness'.......................... Well, maybe not. Whatever it means I wish it would stop. It's a simple idea and well thought out but it's bloody annoying!

Huh, I guess it does it's job then, doesn't it?

Lol i agree fully with you ..... what has a gorilla got to do with selling chocolate ummmmmm the only thing i can relate it to is that they have a hidden message ... something like " eat our chocalate and end up big fat and hairy" ( no puns intended to all you larger than life people out there )
