My daughter lives with her father and she really wants to leave. He doesn't provide for her and doesn't take care of her. ie. taking her to the dr. or dentist...
She is now having extreem difficulties in school, mostly due to him not providing her with new clothing and supplies. I have contributed to her new schoool stuff but only half to see if he would provide the rest.
She wants to leave his home and live with me (2 hrs away). I want her to be with me, but have no extra money for a lawyer, but will get it if I have to. I just want to know what I can do immediately, given her age.
I have let things go for a while because I think her education would be better where she is, but it's not so important that I'm willing to let him continue to neglect her. I will do whatever I need to do at this point.

Im taking a class where we have to find to papers/articles, with one being peer-reviewed and the other being non-peer reviewed.

My teacher didnt tell us what distinguishes the two, except for the fact the peer-reviewed article is longer.

I have found one article, I think its peer-reviewed. Could someone verifiy this for me? Below is a link to the article

My friends son and his ex wife has asked him to co sign for a college loan which is not re payable until the year 2012.
I do not understand college loans and he has asked me what I think of it. He believes he may be getting himself into some kind of a financial trap.
I did not know a college loan required a co signer. Does it?
He already payed for his 1st years tuition and his dorm fees and all that stuff. I do not want to give him mis information, but clearly he is concerned. Who do we ask about this for sound financial advice? Do you know anything about college loans for an 18 yr old child? Do you think he is being ripped off? Do the parents co sign a college loan for $6K not repayable for at least 5 yrs?

Schlager or full rapier blade?

I am having a sword custom made for my fiance to give him as a gift for our wedding. It will be a stage combat worthy weapon, but I am not sure which blade to go for. The schlager blade we have on another sword seemed too flexible and whippy, but maybe it wouldn't be as bad with a shorter blade made by a better craftsman.

My choice is a 3/4 etched hilt with the full rapier blade, or a full swept hilt rapier with schlager blade and no etchings. They are both beautiful in the sketches, I'm not sure which to go with and I need to decide asap so it can be made in time.

As much as I oppose the Iraq fiasco, up to now I have supported the decision to continue funding it, despite Bush's behavior--soley because of the potential hardship a cutoff of funds minght impose on our troops.

But this HAS to be stopped. It's time to cut the funds. If we don't, more of our men and women in uniform are going to die than if we force the issue.

That's a tough call--but its time to stop allowing Bush to use American soldiers as hostages to keep his damned war going.

Ok first off I have had 2 c sections. One I had an epidural with and the other I had a spinal. I'm not sure if that plays a part or not. Yesterday the pain started in my lower bacl. It has happened several times before. It hurts to do anything I can't even lay down or anything. My lower back feels like there is something out of place or that doesn't belong there. My hips and and sides of my buttocks ache like there is no tomorrow. Everything I do every move I make makes it worse. It hurts enough to make me feel sick to my stomach. I also feel muscle soreness in my lower abs. I have not exercised or been involed in anything to make me sore. I am not over weight and am in decent shape. Any ideas on what this can be? How can I make it better? It hurts and I have to sit at a desk for 8 hours everyday for my job. Thanks
