Ok first off I have had 2 c sections. One I had an epidural with and the other I had a spinal. I'm not sure if that plays a part or not. Yesterday the pain started in my lower bacl. It has happened several times before. It hurts to do anything I can't even lay down or anything. My lower back feels like there is something out of place or that doesn't belong there. My hips and and sides of my buttocks ache like there is no tomorrow. Everything I do every move I make makes it worse. It hurts enough to make me feel sick to my stomach. I also feel muscle soreness in my lower abs. I have not exercised or been involed in anything to make me sore. I am not over weight and am in decent shape. Any ideas on what this can be? How can I make it better? It hurts and I have to sit at a desk for 8 hours everyday for my job. Thanks

I sit on an inflatable exercise ball instead of a chair for most of the day. It exercises the back and abs. However, you should definitely talk to a doctor before you do that or any other exercise or stretching program. You may have an injury, and you don't want to aggravate it.

First suggestion: see a chiropractor.
Second suggestion: Maybe it's the way you work. Do you do a lot of repetitive tasks? because that is not good for your back, especially if you are not using your back correctly, meaning if you put a lot of strain on your back without proper support. You may want alter the way you do things that involve bending, leaning, twisting, or picking up heavy objects.

Back issues usually arise over time from doing things the same way over a long period, I don't think it's because of giving birth but I could be wrong you may want to bring that up with a chiropractor...Best Wishes!

Sitting at a desk for 8 hours may be the cause. Try sleeping on your side if you sleep on your back it could give you lower back problems without support under your legs to raise them. Other than that I would say try stretching. I have the same problem I need a new seat at work with better cushion.

I'd suggest going to a chiropractor. Although I know your pain could be from your epidural and c-sections, chiropractors can really work wonders. They will be able to realign your back and hips and you'll feel great. You may have to visit them a couple times, but I promise you will notice the difference.
