Why do those pushing for troop withdrawal in the middle east try to make the allied forces look bad when they (the allied forces) claim to be making progress? If there is nothing left to do, then we can leave - If people keep saying no progress has been made, then there will always be more to do and we will never get out. If you're REALLY interested in pulling out, why work so hard at making sure we stay put?
The allied forces are much more likely to withdraw if people pat them on the back and tell them what a good and complete job they've done.

My dad has had two recent acute 'events' of dementia. The first one lasting on a few hours, 2nd time lasting much longer - from 7 am until 5 or 6 that evening. He spent the day in the hospital and left w/out a diagnosis. During these 'spells' his short term memory is non-functioning. He will ask the same questions over and over, make the same 'jokes' or comments over and over and not realize he's already said it. During his health history he heard my mom tell the nurses that his mom had passed away a year ago, and it struck him as though it was the first time he'd heard. He 'forgot' that my sister was pregnant and due in 5 weeks, and he looked shocked when he saw her in the hospital that day, asking her when she was due. He has no problem with recognition. We're all confused. The bloodwork, echo, dopplar, and eeg are normal. The MRI was unremarkable and he's to see a neurologist this week. Any ideas?

I think she got sea sick watching Titanic...but I want to go on a cruise...how can I talk her into going. And what are the odds of a 2 year old getting sea sick? I am scared our son is going to be like her family...and get sea sick standing on the dock!

My boyfriend went to Germany to stay for a year his Freshman college year. He said that in Germany, they have many sex shops and that it is clean and decent and out in the open. They don't view sex like we do, they have shows and films that you can watch, and it isn't looked down upon and is just part of the culture. Why don't we have them here? Why are we Americans so uptight and stupid when it comes to sex? Yet we have no problem with violence which is much worse. Is it the religious uptight people that fight to have these places outlawed? Churches are free to exist, why not sex shops?

like in my wedding, when the priest asked Are you sure you want to take this man as your beloved husband.... (Well, what else can I be doing standing in front of the priest with a white dress and a church full of ppl? Are you kidding me? I would have said, No, I spent a lot of money in this dress because I felt like looking pretty tonight????). Well no ofense for any body, I know it is the normal question to be asked at weddings, I just find it too redundant.

he is 5000 miles away, in the military, we've been off and on for 2 years. This hurts so much. I just saw him in july, we had the best time, but i dont trust him. I have reasons not to trust him. No proof that he's cheated, but he has told me other lies. I am unconfortable with a friendship he has with a girl he's known all his life. she would leave messages on his myspace like, i love you, miss you to death, etc. Finally i guess he hadnt spoken to her in a while and she found out i visited. she left a message calling me a psycho b*tch stalker that basically flew out there to get laid. I have NEVER met this girl! That was a month ago, i have tried to forget it. He told me he wasnt speaking to her, but i found out 2day he is. He sent a pic of himself to me and a few others, she was listed. Y lie about it? We've had many trust issues, i feel like its my fault 4 being dramatic. Is it? Should i believe him? I live in Houston Texas and I often wonder how far outside the city limits is safe from a nuclear bomb. I keep thinking that one day these terrorists are going to get one through and it scares me. I usually don’t waste a lot of sympathy feeling bad for those who didn’t care enough to stick around. However, there was always one that struck a nerve with me: Wendy O. Williams. She was the original riot grrl and one of the most intimidating women on the planet during her time. I’m sure the Chicago Police remember her fondly. During her last years, she went into seclusion while doing a lot of charity work for animals. A lot of stories came out regarding what was in her suicide note, but the recurring theme I kept hearing about was that she was depressed because she felt like she was no longer young and beautiful. Because she seemed so much larger than life, you wouldn’t have imagined such vulnerability. Kurt Cobain will likely be the odds on favorite here (my guess).

We had our house built three years ago. Our electricity in our master bedroom has gone out several times (not from storms) in those three years. It seems to always happen when we're either away from home or in bed sleeping. Also, when the power goes out from storms, our master bedroom won't come back on automatically like the other rooms. My husband has to flip the switch in the box like all the other times it goes out. I called the electric company that did the wiring, and they said that we probably have too many items hooked up in that room. We have the normal stuff...tv, alarm clock, phone, radio, satellite, etc...but most of these things aren't even on when the power goes out. should i be concerned about the wiring and make them come out and investigate? or are they correct, and this means we definitely can't get the ceiling fan hooked up in there? i just don't have a good feeling about it. i'm scared there will be a fire one of these days.

I am 27 and she 23 (24 in month). We met through a mutual friend almost 2 years ago and have been together ever since. We both have had some LTR in the past. When we met each other we clicked and have had a wonderful time together. Little ups and downs but we both get a long very well and each do things on our own.

I know that she has commitment issues. We have talked about them a little bit in the past and this has caused some problems with her being able to express her emotions comfortably. But for the most part, we are fairly open in regards to how we feel about each other. We both love each others good and bad sides.

Recently in the last couple months, she first took a few days at her moms to "cool" off and she came back running to me. Then she decided to move out about 2 months ago. We slowed things down as she wanted to live on her own.
