okay im 18 and went out with this guy like 3 yrs ago but we never remained friends cause he was in trouble alot and stupid psycho. well i saw him a few times in between and now im in college. he just emailed me and says he feels bad we never stayed friends, and stuff. he also wants to go inot the same thing im studying in college supposedly. i dont know if i should ignore him or be nice and write back. i just dont want him to start calling me and stuff. my parents would get mad if they found out i was talking to him again too. what should i do cause i dont really like him. but dont wanna be mean

I will be turning 18 and graduating high school this year, but I am at a bit of a cross road. Firstly, I don't really have the money for college, and due to a bit of a slump I went through my sophomore year my GPA is in the toilet. I don't have a lot of work experience, so the only job I'd likely be able to get would be minimun wage. I know joining the army would give me a lot of training, help with college, and be an overall good learning experience, but I am a bit concerned.

If you enlist in a non-combat position (like a Animal Care Specialist) can they force you into combat? Once your enlisted, can they put you in whatever position they want?

Any other information/advice you could impart would be incredible, I am really conflicted.

I've noticed that a lot of guys, from my ex-boyfriend, to a guy I've got out on a couple dates with to my brother will call me, but not leave a message. WHY?

If they rang me, obviously they must have wanted something.

When my females friends call, 99.9% of the time they leave a message even if it's just, "Hey Lynn. Just wanted to say hi and see how you're doing. Later".

Why can't guys do the same?!
