I've noticed that a lot of guys, from my ex-boyfriend, to a guy I've got out on a couple dates with to my brother will call me, but not leave a message. WHY?
If they rang me, obviously they must have wanted something.
When my females friends call, 99.9% of the time they leave a message even if it's just, "Hey Lynn. Just wanted to say hi and see how you're doing. Later".
Why can't guys do the same?!

because guys(whether they want to admit it or not) have a security issue. they are not sure what to say because they don't want it to come out the wrong way and it ends up not meaning what they want it to. some get so nervous they just hang up. a guy really does depend a lot on what a girl thinks of him and(whether they admit it or not) truly take it to heart. a lot of times we are more emotional then you, i mean sure we like to put up the man front, but truth is we are all a bunch of softies deep down(they definately won't admit that) but it is true. so go easy on them and keep this in mind:)

Guys are usually not that chatty. Usually they are calling to see if you want to do something, and if you are not there, then obviously you have something else to do.

I suppose that girls call to let you know that they were thinking of you, so they leave a message.
Guys call in order to talk TO you, not just to say "hi, I was thinking of you". Guys tend to be more utilitarian, and less touchy feelly.

It doesn't even occur to most guys that they should do that. Others will think they're just bothering you by doing it. Just tell them that if they call you they should leave a message, even if the just wanted to talk.

girl, i'd like to know the same thing. That gets on my nerves when my dad or my boyfriend calls, but they won't leave a message.

Usually I never leave a message. Only if it's family usually. If it's REALLY important then i leave a message to ppls.

I've never really been sure why we do it. If you think about guys dont rally use vociemail at all unless its and emergecy or we wanna play some kinda joke of somethen.

I always thought they were disapointed that they couldn't hear you beautiful voice, so they decide to just hang up.............
