My local paper (small town, circulation est. 10,000, area population est. 50,000+) is advertising for a weekend photographer. Yes, I work during the week, but I wonder if anyone has any thoughts on what it would be like to be a weekend warrior. The ad stipulates that knowledge of digital photography is mandatory, but I think I've got that knocked - at least to the level required for their publication. I've already been published in the paper enough times that I've lost count so I know how to edit and submit to their standards.

I imagine the job would involve covering some local sports (no professional teams), festivals and events, and the occasional fire or accident, just based on what I see running already.

The geopgraphic area would not have me on the road at all as their circulation area could be circumscribed within a cirlce of about a 20 mile radius.

You know the demands of the job, so talk to me.........

im wondering what the deal with replacemtn teeth is, like putting in a bridge or any of the options, my 2 front teeth r bonded and apparently its not very stable, i want to goto thailand and fight muay thai (the last placei want me teeth to fall out) so im thinkin of just gettin the dental work done before hand, but ive heard theres some cons to it, whats ur opinion on them

This is my 1st time renting an apartment and I'm wondering what kind of processes I need to go through? I have two other roomates and they told me that we have to sign the contract TOGETHER in order to rent a house/apt, is that true? Because I will be on a trip the date they sign the contract and I'm afraid that I have to cancel my trip (and I don't want to)...Can they sign the contract w/o me (or maybe I can sign it later)? Nobody sounds like James Mason or Richard Burton nor the "cockney" sound of Michael Caine or the cast in "My Fair Lady." Why visit London if you are only going to speak like New Yorkers or losers in LA LA land? Only the Geico lizard sounds British these days? Have things all changed? Is it the unification with Europe? I think yes, and the reason why I think this is so is because after 9/11 people needed comfort and many found it in religion.

However, since the War on Terror started, we have been in a state of perpetual war which is seen as a struggle against Islam specifically by many Christians in the US. As such, Christians have "fundamentalized" themselves much more so to clearly have define an "us vs them" mindset.

This is similar to the McCarthy era when the US was at war with the "godless communists" and similarly embraced religion (leading to things like adding "under God" to the Pledge).

Agree or disagree? Any thoughts?

Luckily, I think the unpopularity of the Iraq war and the unpopularity of Christian fundamentalism (not to be confused with regular Christians) is swinging back the religious fervor meter back to pre-9/11 levels.

Agree or disagree with that?

What are ways to manage it, & do you have any special ideas for any styles besides ordinary ponytails? My hair is getting pretty long, & I can't handle it anymore. I don't want to cut it all off again. I want to continue to let it grow long. Also, could my kinky hair be damaged for going long lengths of time without combing it? Sometimes I get depressed & just don't have any energy. But I want my hair to grow long & healthy. I wash my hair like twice or 3 times a week & put conditioner in it, but I get too emotionally depressed to comb it out & it gets all matted. & when I do comb it, it only looks silky & shiny "sometimes" & very nappy at other times. It's like my hair plays tricks on me.

I have a Husqvarna 55 rancher. Everytime I try to crank it as the instructions specify it will not crank. It seems to be flooded but it won't crank with the choke in or out. What should I do? How do you know if you need a new spark plug? I ran it good a week ago but I ran it until it ran out of gas and oil mix. I then added the gas and oil mix to it and it will not crank. What do I do? Thanks.
