I have a Husqvarna 55 rancher. Everytime I try to crank it as the instructions specify it will not crank. It seems to be flooded but it won't crank with the choke in or out. What should I do? How do you know if you need a new spark plug? I ran it good a week ago but I ran it until it ran out of gas and oil mix. I then added the gas and oil mix to it and it will not crank. What do I do? Thanks.

Are you sure it is flooding?

If you did not use the correct oil and gas to oil mixture, the spark plug may be fouled or you may have damaged the motor.

Check the spark plug for foulling. It should be a light brown to light grey colour. If it is dark or black, the gas to oil mixture is incorrect. check the owners manual for the correct mixture (some new models have a label on them stating the correct ratio). Replace the spark plug - you will have to gap it according the manual.

If this does not correct the problem, take it to an authorized service depot in case it is covered under warranty.

Good Luck

well first of all dont ever follow factory instructions. lol... take the spark plug out and see if it is Black and gunky if that is the case u should go get another one. if u ran it out of gas there might have been some trash in the tank you didnt kno about and the lines sucked it up and into the carb. so take the carb off (all this depends if the spark plug dont fix it) carb off and clean it out soak it in gas or get caburator cleaner and spray it really good. re assmembly it and it should fire right up. good luck and hope this helps you
