Ahaha! I think everyone besides myself fits into this category. Whenever I talk to someone on the phone, it is mostly them talking about themself and I'm just sitting there listening. People say I am a good person to talk to though, because I listen more and then give them an opinion based on what they told me. I just leave out all the chit-chat and get to the important stuff. Words are very important and everything that you say reflects upon your reputation, so there's no point of just rambling on for the hell of it.

Prabhakar G, once again, I recommend you actually READ the questions before answering them. That unusual talent you have for talking out of your rectum may have been cute when you were a child, but it's not so cute anymore. (It also gets tiresome seeing you quote your source as "my own experience." Duh! No freaking joke! "My own experience." What a dumb-*** thing to say. Of course your kooky opinions are based on your own kooy experiences. Nobody's suggesting you're getting your dork-*** opinions from someone else.)

Anyway...

I used to work with someone who talked for the whole 12 hour shift. It got to the point that I wanted to either tear his head off or pull my hair out. I wound up quitting the job just to get away from him.

You really look aghast and there may be extenuating circumstances, I believe. However, if I were you I would have adopted a way of overtly appearing to listen to her but not really. The niece must be either a child or just in her teens. For these categories the world is a wonder. Hadeckneyed images for you and me arouse their wonder and they are eager to share it with adults. You should at least not overtly discourage her.Have you ever watched a hen fawning over its brood. Despite her preoccupation with feeding she always keeps a watchful eye on her brood listening to their constant chirping . You at least have the satisfaction of listening to only one niece.

No, because I'm pretty sure I am the person that never shuts up...or so I've been told.

My new boss. She's absolutely wonderful, but she never stops talking. It's a good thing she's so nice or it would really suck.
