I have a part time job, and now i've become interested in becoming an actor. And as I know, you have to start in community theater. How can I balance time between these two things? And how can I deal with it when the new school year starts? please help

I am more than merely interested in acting. It is something I feel I have to do. I was just wondering what kind of part time job would be best so that I can support myself, while doing what I love most.

Depending on where you live and whom you are the problem varies. If there are a lot of part time employment opportunities in your area but few acting opportunities you should commit to whatever acting opportunity is available and find the right job to compliment it. On the other hand if there are a number of opportunities to act and to work you should find the best mix. It takes research to find what the real opportunities are. Generally people who are "interested" in becoming actors will never be successful. Success is generally limited to those who "must" act.

You have to be committed to acting. I'm not sure what your main responsibilities are but if your living with your parents or someone who can help provide your living arrangements that's good. Someone who has big responsibilities like a family to support may be harder to be committed. Also your job needs to know what's going on so maybe they can be flexible with you. But don't be surprised if they say no. But true commitment and determination is key to be a successful actor. It's a sacrifice that all actors take. My main point is it is very hard do juggle all three things especially when acting is involved. I hope this gives you an idea. But if you love it and you want it you gotta take it! Don't let anything get in your way. I wish you well. Break a leg! fellow actor!

Well, first join the school drama club. That is the best theater to be in, while you still have the chance. They will teach you the basics. Once you are out of school, start taking actual lessons. Then, get an agent! You will be on your way to Hollywood... :)
