One dark night A cop flashes his lights at a guy in a pickup truck who is speeding. Instead of pulling over, the guy speeds up.
So the cop puts on the siren. And the guy speeds up.
Finally, the cop get son the speaker and orders him to pull over. So he complies.
The cop walks up tot the truck, handcuffs the guy, throws him in th backseat, searches the truck and finds nothing.
Pulling the guy out, He gives him a breathalyzer, and He ahsn't been drinking.
So He runs His license, name ,and social...and the guy is totally cean.
Finally the cop asks him "WHY did You run from me like that?"

The guy answers "My last girlfriend took off with a cop, and I thought you were trying to give Her back!"

Our local school in our small town has went bankrupt. They have proposed a 12 mill increase to save the school, but I really have no idea what a millage increase is other than some sort of tax.

If the school closes then our children will be bussed for a long way to a large town, which may require us to pay even more taxes than what has been proposed to save our own school.

Need some help figuring this one out.

demand function P=2,000-50Q
a) to sell 20 units of Q, what price would have to be charged?

is this P=1000?

b) if firm sets a price of $500, how many units of Q would be sold

Q=30?

c) what is the price elasticity of demand if price equals $500
.06?

d) at what price if any, will the demand of Q be unitary elastic
this one i just dont know how to do

its just so weird. every where u go wheather its the mall, your school, even the public library you will see some kind of emo weird freak with greased hair and smelly odors that just stare....i mean emos stare a lot and it creeps me out. and they are just weird.

A.your best friend decided to date your boyfriend when you were out of town...and stole him from you?
B if a classmate spread a rumor about you, thru-out the entire school(this can be elementary school, or any school,even college)?
C.You found out that you were sick with an illness that could leave you bedridden..would you tell anyone and why or why not?
D. If, you had found out that a friend of yours who worked in an education office at a local university had decided to eliminate an old childhood enemy, to get into the college. because the friend was STILL after all of these years, holding a huge grudge against this person..and didn't know how to "let things go"...?
E. If several teachers propositioned you?
F. If you were being threatened by a teacher who, had had a relationship with you,and now they were harrassing you for dropping their class or telling on them..and saying that THEY had "proof," on you, that they were the "innocent victims"?

It seems from the news that the police/authorities were aware or had awareness of the suspects of the latest attacks but were not able to do more than monitor them before they committed the crime. Should the authorities have more power?

What I would like to know is if an asset is booked at its historical cost, and it's depreciated using the life of the asset, (the historical cost, and projected salvage value at the end of useful life), then why is the "net book value" of property, plant, and equipment not equal to current fair market value?

I am trying to buy a house, I'm getting turned down due to my credit score but my ratios and income are fine.

The lenders say it is 576 and I need 580 but when I check it I get 590? Why is it different for me and them?

For about a year and half to 2 years i have been short of breath, nothing to serious except for the first time i experienced it because i was scared and it felt like i was just forgeting to breath and i paniced, but since then i know when im short of breath and i can handle it fine, although i know its not good and im going to the doctor this week. But lately ive also been getting light-headed almost every time i stand up, does anyone have any idea what this could be? Or if the shortness of breath and the light-headedness are intertwinded in some way?
