For about a year and half to 2 years i have been short of breath, nothing to serious except for the first time i experienced it because i was scared and it felt like i was just forgeting to breath and i paniced, but since then i know when im short of breath and i can handle it fine, although i know its not good and im going to the doctor this week. But lately ive also been getting light-headed almost every time i stand up, does anyone have any idea what this could be? Or if the shortness of breath and the light-headedness are intertwinded in some way?

Any time you are short of breath is serious. I suggest you get checked. It could be panic attacks, asthma, etc.

Like yourself I'm generalIy healthy, but I suffer from asthma, and feel light headed if it's playing up. Also pins and needles in the fingers if I'm about to have an attack. Definetly a good idea to get it checked out though. Let us know how you go :)

Are you overweight?? Do you have low blood pressure?? Do you smoke?? Your doctor has to examine all the possibilities and find a solution. Good Luck to you.
