The chinese white spirit commonly called chinese wine is widly consumed in china during winter but this drink is not famous in the world market , why?
meanwhile the chinese claims it is the best wine in the world.
why is the ordour so strong ?

I work with a girl who is getting married in September and everyone is telling her not to throw rice at the wedding. They drum up the same old myth that rice will kill birds dead, dead, dead!

Of course I laughed at this and showed her various places online that proves this is a myth.

I understand that ignorant people think that the birds eat the rice and it swells up causing them to rupture.

Of course this makes no sense because rice is a natural grain, birds eat it in the wild. Dog food also expands but dogs don't die from eating it. Corn expands but geese love to eat it and they drink alot of water.

So why do people think this? Is it just widespread ignorance?

Is it okay for my landlord to increase my rent by 19% ($255) when renewing my 12 months contract? Isn't there a maximum percentage that they can increase? I have lived in several apartments in the past...they usually increase $50 or $100...but never $255. I'm in California if it matters. Please help me with any information. Thank you.

I'm half Irish and I am very glad to say that I have Irish roots in my heritage. One day I'd like to go to Ireland to see just how much culture the Irish have that I didn't know about so that I can know more about that part of who I am. Is there anyone else out there who's Irish and proud of it? What reasons would you give that you SHOULD be proud that your Irish? Do you hate when people say that being Irish is no big deal? ect. I live in a duplex & control the temperature for both units. When I moved in, the landlord told me he would send us the gas bill & we had to split it half & half. Six months went by & we didn't get a bill. Finally, he called me & told me to switch it into my name & pay off the balance on his account. I did this & the girl below me & I split the balance on his account. I immediately had problems collecting her half of the bill on time each month & started to regret putting the service in my name. She finally moved out a month or so ago; I wrote him a letter saying that I wanted him to switch the bill back to his name as soon as the new tenant moved in. A new tenant moved in July 1st. I called his assistant last Monday & told her I wanted the service switched July 1. Five days later I heard nothing, so I called her back, she said he wasn't going to switch it. What can I do to make him? I don't own the home, it isn't in my lease that I have to have utilities in my name... HELP!
