Let's say you have a grown up son. He is smart, successful, and kind, and you are very proud of him. One day, he comes home for a visit, bringing another man with him. "Mom, dad," he says, "This is Gary. He's my life partner. We're going to Massachusetts to get married next month."
Your son considers his homosexuality to be a natural, biological thing. He doesn't see it as sin, no matter what you say, and he refuses to think that he needs to or can be "cured". Your son is gay, and there is nothing you can do about it.
What would you do?
