Coach Armstrong. And my driving partner was a guy who already had his license and only taking the class for the insurance discount. It was my first time behind a wheel ever and he made me drive ON THE FREEWAY and i was so scared i asked if i could light up a cigareete and he barely glanced up from his newspaper to look sideways at me and tell me NO.
Thank you for your time. That was a really funny memory. To me, anyway.

My Dad taught me to drive. Now that my daughter is 16 and has her beginners I wonder how my Dad did it. Even though my daughter has taken driver's ed, I started taking her out on practice runs before she started doing it with the instructor. I got lots of neck pains and knee pains from tensing so much and slamming my foot into my imaginary brake.

A driving instructor. My mom wouldn't get into the car with me until I got my license.

my dad...he was very patient with me. i didn't know why he wanted to teach me how to drive a stick ...i think we both ended up with whiplash that day. i am now very grateful that i know how to drive a manual. (i see now what i didn't see then. he was very wise)
