A spooky thing happened to me when I lived in my childhood home. I shared a room with my sister. In the middle of the night, my stereo turned on full blast. I was half asleep, so I immediately jumped up to turn it off so it wouldn't wake anyone. The thing was, when I went over to shut the power off, it wasn't on! Music was coming out of the speakers, but the stereo wasn't on! I pushed the power button repeatedly but nothing happened. I finally got it to shut off by unplugging it. I still don't know what caused it to turn on like that! What do you think??

I read this in someone's answer to another question.

Here's my question: what baby comes out of the womb believing in Christ or a god? What newborn grasps the concepts of belief, religion, Christianity, Atheism, racism, etc?

If I'm not mistaken, Atheism is no more "natural" than Christianity. They are learned concepts that can only be fully grasped with an educated or matured mind. Or am I missing something?

I don't think is any worse than alcohol nor cigarrettes. I don't understand why pot isn't legal. It makes you laugh and eat alot. And you don't have a hangover in the morning. There are so many people smoking pot. Pretty odd, that's it's illegal, but alcohol and cigarettes are legal.

I read a book called "Embraced by the Light" which is about a life after death experience. In her book she died, went to heaven and re-united with people she knew b4 she was even born. She said that she recoginezed them and were happy to see them again although she never seen them since she was a spirit waiting to come to earth. She says that all people were spirits b4 they came to earth and were with God when he created it. She says that we come to earth to grow spiritually and to have a relationship with God thru Jesus christ and with other people. This is something i want to believe b/c it would have a big impact on my spiritual views and walk but nowhere in the Bible says this or talks about it(i havnt seen anything). Has anybody else heard about this, if so pllz tell me what u kno/believe. And why would God erase our memory about this experience once on Earth?

Well, I`m Japanese mixed Filipino, and I can speak both Japanese and English. I was going to college in states, but I had to come back here in Japan for visa problem and I did not have enough money. I wanted to ask, if any one here knows what is the best job that I can get without a degree to work in Japan using English and Japanese? Or May be in States?

I'm a Canadian, and follow the American political scene as it directly affects many of components to our society.
I'm flabergasted at George W. Bush and his use of the power which comes with the Oval Office.

I'm wondering what do democrate and republican americans think?
Do you find his actions out of line?
And, democrates, why on earth has there been no papers of impeachment filed??

Pelosi is third in line!

I am Turkish and found that when I placed "Istanbul, TR" in the weather search it resulted in a very out of date reference name "Byzation, TR" for what is current. I found this to be very unbelieveable and disheartening. I would expect Yahoo to be a little more capable to correctly name a city or country. This is disrespectful and I am sure there are many others that agree with me. I would like a reply as soon as possible to explain this occurance. If I do not recieve a reply, I will ensure there is legal action taken.

After the explosion in the beginning, and after Detective Doug Carlin investigates Claire Kuchever's apartment, when he is in the base with the other detectives looking through the Snow White machine, he gets a call from the ATF team saying that he left his fingerprints all over the apartment when he really didn't. Now how is this possible? The girl had already been murdered by Carroll Oerstadt in that present, so even if he had gone back to the past he didn't save the girl in that present. But in that present there is still the phone call, the ambulance, the blood and tape all over the apartment the girl used to clean the gundshot wound. It just doesn't make since how the girl was dead in his present when it seems all he did in the future to save her happened. Wow, i'm confused. It doesn't make since.

I overheard her once telling people that she and I were "close". She jokingly told me that she would go around and tell people that I'm her boyfriend. Another time, while on the phone with her brother, she again joked that she was "with her boyfriend".

I guess to a third person's perspective and my description, this means she wants to date me... however, I'm second-guessing myself because I'm not all that much to look at, and she has a tendency to be a overly friendly to everyone - including single guys that she has no intention of dating.

In a round-about way, I guess I'm wondering, if any girls out there have ever joked around like this and not meant much by it.
