Water frequently condensates inside mufflers, and drips out. However if it has a strong smell, what kind of smell? Oily , dirty, you probably blew a head gasket, is your exhaust smoke white or blue? If a sweet smell you may have a coolant system leak, I would definitely let a good mechanic take a smell. Hope this helps

If this is on start up, then that is normal. The muffler will collect a small amount of water from condensation. The smell could be another matter completely. Maybe a sulphur smell, from the catalytic converter? Best to have it checked out, before it tears up some other parts.

If it smells like gas, you got a problem.
Most cars have a muffler and a catalytic converter (to clean up emissions from your motor). In the mornings, it is not unusual for a car to have a little clear liquid (usually water or a mild form of sulfuric acid from condensation) or smoke come from your engine exhaust. This is from the catalytic converter and normal. In cold weather, your exhaust will emit white smoke, until the motor warms up. In the summertime, your exhaust will emit water or condensation (depending on humidity in your area) until the motor warms up.
No need to worry, unless the emissions continue after the motor has warmed up, or smell like gas.

You don't explain Strong Smell enough. (Smells like What?) I am sure you know what gas and oil and steamed water smell like, so I am thinking its probably a sulphur smell, from the catalytic converter.

condensation usually comes out of the muffler,id check my anti freeze and make sure its full if the liquid has any color to it this isn't good,it could be signs of a blown head gasket but check all the fluids in it and make sure its full,it may just be colored condensation coming from it ,good luck hope this helps.

Water is supposed to come out of your muffler. Engine exhaust is supposed to be nitrogen, water and CO2.
If your engine is in bad tune, you might also get oil, burnt oil, SO2, HC or CO emissions, which wouldn't smell nice.
